Our Team Steve Gilcrease – Owner and President of Metro Pole setting since December of 1972 to present. Steve started the company in 1972 with one digger truck and one employee. Today the company has 50 employees, 25 bucket trucks, 5 digger trucks, and numerous backhoes, mini excavators, bore machines and one-ton trucks. In addition, they have access to many aerial and underground subcontractors. Originally the company began setting poles for then, Southwestern Bell Telephone Company. Metro Pole has since diversified into not only pole and anchor setting, but all aerial aspects and underground utilities. Steve runs all the day to day operations of the company. Jerret Gilcrease – Vice President of Metro Pole Setting and an employee since October of 1990. He has an Associate of Arts Degree from Hill College. Jerret supervises the pole, aerial and underground crews. He also is involved with the daily operations of the company, including personnel, office management, traffic control, budgets, estimating and bidding jobs. Jerret communicates with AT&T supervisors on a daily basis to ensure all completion target dates are met on time. Ricky Gilcrease - Vice President of Metro Pole Setting and an employee since October 1993. He has a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree from Tarleton State University and received an Associate of Arts degree from Hill College in 1988. Certifications include Work Zone Traffic Control and Train-the-Trainer Flaggers from Texas A&M Engineering Extension Service. He is also involved in the daily operations of the company, which include personnel, office management, traffic control, budgets, estimating and bidding jobs. Ricky supervises the aerial, pole and underground crews, as well. On a daily basis, Ricky is communicating with AT&T supervisors ensuring that all target completion dates or met on time. Ron Grantham – Underground Supervisor at Metro Pole Setting. He has been an employee since 2002, and has over 33 years experience in the underground field. Ron is also OSHA and NUCA Competent Person certified. Ron is responsible for hiring underground crews, managing all daily underground crews, over-seeing all underground work, bidding underground jobs, boring, excavation, trenching, backhoe, traffic control and concrete work. Tina Gilcrease – Office Manager at Metro Pole Setting. Tina is responsible for payroll, invoicing and all accounting functions, including accounts receivable and accounts payable. She also handles human resource issues, job scheduling and dispatching. Her experience in quick books, excel and word make her an asset to the company.
